Upon receiving and grading, we inspect the material to determine how it should be processed and is sorted by hand or using heavy equipment such as front-end loaders and hydraulic crane-mounted electro-magnets and grapples.

While a lot of metals may look alike, Becker Iron & Metal uses hand-held x-ray spectrometers to identify the exact metallurgical composition of our customers’ scrap. By identifying the metal’s exact composition, we are able to market our customer’s material effectively.
